 Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a retreat?

Retreat comes from the Latin term retrahere meaning to pull back. From a Christian perspective, this conscious pulling back from the noises and distractions of the world has the aim to set our time aside for God. A retreat is a period of seclusion for the purpose of prayer and meditation, to open our hearts and minds to listen to God.

  • Who can attend this retreat?

This retreat is open for all St. Anianus Coptic Orthodox Church parishioners of all ages.
